  After our favourite Hong Kong style afternoon tea place , KIKO, was closed, we started to look for new options and a friend from Hong Kong recommended this place to us.
  
  It's great value for money. At a cheap price, you can get really full and satisfied with the food quality too. They had really good deep fried fish and super yummy icy red bean drink. They served the food super fast (within 5 minutes of order).
  
  The only thing I didn't like about this place was the server was always in a rush (like those in school canteen). They will come to you three times pushing you to order even when you only read the menu for three minutes.

  I still remember coming here as a kid and having to wait forever for a seat because they were always packed on weekends (and still are)!
  
  Goldsor is a staple in the Richmond Hill area for "westernized HK food", aka sizzling plates and spaghetti dishes. I had the sizzling plate the other day and was impressed by how tasty it was. The chicken was extremely tender, the fries were crispy, and the black pepper sauce was very flavourful - just be warned that the overall dish is pretty darn salty.
  
  With fair pricing, quick service, and reliable quality of food, it's no wonder that Goldsor has been around for so long and continues to thrive as a business!

  This place deserves a lot of credit for keeping their quality over the many years they have been in business. I think I first came here since 2001 or so. Their lunch menu of 4 specials to choose from is always spot on. We got the sizzling chicken steak in garlic sauce. It is nice and garlicky! Love it! Definitely come here to have HK style café food!

  I've been going to Goldsor for years so it's quite surprising that I'm only getting to the review now.  Goldsor is the very definition of HK style cafe.  Set meals, bread and soup with every special etc.  You name anything associated with HK style cafe, Goldsor does it.
  
  Goldsor offers a variety of meals you would normally find at HK style cafes.  Their specialty is the hot plate.  They serve meals that come out sizzling on those hot plates and they are absolutely delicious.  As I said earlier, all special meals come with warm bread and butter, a drink and soup. There are also set kids meals here too so food wise it's kid friendly as well.
  
  I usually order one of the hot plates when I come here.  The last time I came I decided to take the plunge and get the steak. I usually never order steak at a HK style cafe.  Goldsor has impressed me enough in the past that I was finally willing to do it.  Glad I did too.  The steak was very good for what you are paying.  The portion was good and the meat itself was pretty tender and not over cooked.  
  
  I'm also a fan of the cold drinks as Goldsor is one of the few places left that let you add sugar to your drinks yourself.  You get the exact amount of sugar in your drink as you want which I like.  
  
  My only grip about the place is that the seating is a bit tight.  They try to fit as many tables as possible.  When you have kids, it can get a bit difficult getting them seated and getting them dressed to leave after.
  
  All in all, Goldsor remains a great example of what a HK style cafe should be.  This is definitely one of go to spots when I'm in the area.

  Great place for breakfast or lunch. I had the macaroni with ham for breakfast and it came with toast. The amount of macaroni that was in the bowl was insane! You'll definitely be filled up with that plus the toast.
  
  It was quite cold since we were sitting below an air vent. The food did not take long to arrive and service was typical Chinese restaurant like with servers acknowledging you and getting your orders quickly but not super friendly.
